Gone are those days when you tossed batteries in garbage. Now a day you can simply drive to your community center and go to their E-Waste program. The E-Waste program will help your local community center because the State gives the city a certain amount of money.

Besides helping your city you will also be helping the environment because the batteries you throw in the trash will affect the environment by the batteries leaking over time and draining into your local aquifer.

Some disadvantages of the E-waste program is that the consumer has to drive to the program and that we don’t get a tax break for giving the battery.
